My son just turned three and he loves his trucks so I decided to do a monster truck cake for him. The cab is cake stacked and carved into the shape of a cab. The bed is made of graham crackers glued together with royal icing and covered in fondant to match the rest of the cake.
The tire wells are are carved cake. The tires are chocolate covered doughnuts. The rest was referenced to my friend’s new truck my son loves for proportions, but the cake is my design and extra stuff where I needed to cover the boo boos.
My kiddo woke up to see his cake and got the biggest smile, that is so cool, which made all the hours it took worth it. He had the best 3 year old party a 3 year old can have. He had about 25 friends over to eat his cake and play at the park with him.
