This Mud Mountain Moto Cross Cake was a treat to make for my son’s 6th birthday. My frosting was a bit dry but we made due. Maybe it added to the mountainous terrain look. Whenever I make cakes for the kids it’s always a bonus with the trinkets the go on top the cake. Extra toys for them.
I got the idea from someone else’s mud mountain cake on the internet. The grass was green Twizzlers cut and split open. You can see I used chocolate donuts and malt balls for rocks and boulders. I used fruit by the foot for the flags. I used broken crushed crackers for the dirt. I also used cocoa puffs. I used wafer cookies for the bridge between the cakes which helped them from not falling into each other.
My son is a little motor head and my brother races motocross here in WI so the cake was a real hit!
