Coolest Nemo Cake

I made this Nemo cake for my son’s 2nd birthday party. He loved Finding Nemo and really appreciated seeing his favorite character in cake form.

I made 2 butter cakes and cooked them in 2 lamington cake tins. I then froze them so that they would be easier to cut. I joined the cakes together with wooden skewers and then just cut the shape of Nemo out of the cake with a sharp knife.

I iced it using butter cream frosting in the appropriate colours and used black licorice to outline. The eyes are giant marshmallows cut in half with a brown smartie for each pupil.
