Cool Homemade Nurse Cake

This nurse cake was very special to me. My best friend graduated with her degree in nursing, and I thought she deserved a special cake for this great achievement. This cake was probably one of the toughest, just because all the nursing tools on top of the cake i made them all myself with fondant, so it was pretty time consuming. Trial and error was the best way to describe all the toppers on this cake. I wanted it to look realistic, but yet still be edible.

This was my first attempt at making any big medical tools out of fondant, and I will have to say I loved it, and want to try it again sometime. Maybe when she becomes an official nurse in the baby department. I am very proud of the strong independent woman, and I knew this cake would make her smile, and sure enough it did. It fit in with her nurse career so well, and I am glad I could be a part of or graduating, and making everyone’s bellies full with my delicious red velvet cake.
