I made this Phineas and Ferb Birthday Cake for our kids after they completed their first week of school. Thought it would be a fun way to end the week!
The cake is yellow filled with chocolate with buttercream frosting for the top base (blue). I made the sugarpaste, colored it with gel colors (first time and it was a little stiff!) and rolled out the yellow, skin tones, hair and clothes and cut out the shapes with a small paring knife. I “painted” the facial expressions with a toothpick and black food gel. Tools that would have been handy: an exacto knife and a super small paintbrush.
The kids loved it and it only took me about 2 hours total to make, the best part!
My son wanted a Phineas and Ferb birthday and we decided to make 2 cakes, one Phineas and the Other Ferb, they turned out great. My husband, the artist cut out the shapes and even added the hair in cake to the outline. I bought green and orange plates, napkins, etc. Also, for favors I thought I would go with the Agent “P” theme. We found the disguise glasses, like Perry wore in the episode when he was impersonating the evil dr., little cameras (they don’t work), plastic telescopes, and small race cars that looked like the one that they made out of their mom’s car. I printed out pics of Perry the Platypus as Agent “P” then put the kids names on them as Agent “first initial”. As a bonus I bought the music cd and we played it at the party!
This is a nice cake but wouldn’t say it’s the coolest! but its good.but i kind of look like phineas myself cuz i have his type of hair style his smile and even his sense of style!! I’m going to use this cake as a cake look a like
The cake is more than “okay”. The cake is quite creative and very nicely done…especially for only taking two hours. Whoever labeled the cake “ok”, would you please post the one you have made, or intend to make? Thanks.
