I did not know how I would pull it off, but my granddaughter wanted a Piggy birthday cake. I came up with this guy by baking in mixing bowls and corning glass casserole dishes (tough times call for tough measures).
I used a strawberry cake with butter cream frosting under fondant. I then mixed pink food coloring with water and airbrushed my piggy to a lovely shade of pink. The eyes were cut from fondant and I used food color markers for the pupils (blue to match my grand daughter’s eyes. The feet were molded fondant (like playdough). Then a pipe cleaner tail and some daisy’s to finish the design.
The cake was a hit…as you can see by the last photo. Nothing went to waste but the squeak (old Polish saying referring to what is used on a pig). Everyone loved it! Especially my granddaughter.
This is best Pig cake I have ever seen. You did a great and it looks so yummy. You definitely put a lot of hard work and thought in to this cake. Keep up the great work!!!
