My husband made this incredible Pirate Ship Birthday Cake for our son William’s birthday party. Everybody loved it.
Ingredients:
* 2 baked 9″ or 10″ sponge cakes
* Whipped cream and strawberry jam for The
Filling:
* 3 to 4 cups chocolate icing
Decorations:
* Chocolate wafer sticks (such as Mikado)
* Milk chocolate wafer rolls (Waffeletten cookies)
* 4 10″ wooden skewers
* 1 plastic drinking straw, small bit of white paper for the sail
* Malteser or other milk balls
* Pirate stickers for steering wheel, flags – to be stuck on wooden tooth picks
* Plastic pirate figures ans treasure chest(we used Playmobil)
Well worth the effort!
