Coolest Pirate Ship Cake

This Homemade Pirate Ship Cake was for my 7 yr. old son’s birthday party. The guests absolutely loved it. Baked 4 9×13 cakes and staked two together and side by side. Filled it with fruits and special concoction my mother makes (secret family recipe) and covered entire cake with buttercream. Over buttercream we added 2 chocolate fondant sheets, cut to shape of ship and decorated with yellow icing to add depth.

The coins are not edible, decorated with pirates my son had bought and made trees out of construction paper and kabob sticks. The sand was sprinkles and the ocean buttercream with blue icing mixed. The sea animals my son had from another toy. The back of the ship was made with corners left over once the shape of the ship was cut out. My mom and I had lots of fun doing this cake and my son loved it!!!
