My husband and I wanted to make a beautiful cake for our daughter’s first birthday. This is our first time ever doing a cake like this. We were proud of it. We did a princess theme, she was dressed up royal and all.
The Princess Caste Birthday Cake is 2 square and two circle cakes. We used three cake mixes. The circles we used half of a box in each (but you can make them any size). We used fondant for the cake.
For the towers we used frosting that we dyed pink.We tried to match the colors to the cake. We used cones to make them and fondant for the windows and door.
Then we outlines where the water, walkway, and road would be. The road is light frosting just enough for stickiness covered with coco. We used the mini marshmallows to look like rocks.
Then water is frosting that’s been dyed blue. The grass is green frosting that we piped out little dots with a hook (took the longest amount of time). The pathway is frosting as well.
Then we used gumdrops to outline the water and for the princess to sit on to help keep her still. We threw out a few princesses with a something that represents them like Ariel has the fish with her etc. There is also a gum drop keeping the flags on the top of the towers.
Then lastly we sprinkled eatable glitter for shine. The cake was the hit of the party other than the beautiful princess who we think loved her cake.
i love ur cake idea im going to make one like this for my daughters 3rd bday party!!!
