This Homemade Princess Castle 1st Birthday Cake is this cake I baked for my daughter’s first birthday party. Initially I was very skeptical, but I got lots ‘n lots of ideas from this web site which really gave me confidence to make this special cake for my little one’s first birthday.
I baked three 23 cms chocolate cakes and three 15 cms chocolate cakes separately. Vanilla butter cream icing was pasted on all layers and on sides. Pink marzipan was used to cover the cake. The towers were made of three ice cream waffle cones.Later decorated with icing and sprinkles.
All items in the cake were edible except the toy little girl. Baking cakes took only one day and decorating took 2 days. I decorated the towers two days before the party.
At the end of the day, I got lot of appreciation for my cake and I really felt very special. It was a very daring venture but I really loved the experience.
