Coolest Princess Castle Cake

For my daughter’s 4th birthday, I made a princess castle cake to go along with her princess themed party. I got a few ideas from other pic’s and put together my favorite parts to make this cake.

I used 2.5 cakes made in square pans (two full ones and one cut into fours that I used two pieces from.

I put the bottom two together to make the bottom of the castle and then stacked the smaller squares in the center (all bound by icing in between). I used buttercream icing for all of the cake, homemade from a recipe I use. Once it was all iced, I made the sides by taking two ice cream cones and ‘glueing’ them together with chocolate with an sugar cone ‘glued’ on top to be the top.

I cut the tip of the sugar cones off so that the candles could fit in just a bit. The sugar cones were iced and rolled in sprinkles, while the normal cones were sprayed with Wilton decorator spray, making it much faster and easier. The middle part of the castle was made with one ice cream cone and one sugar cone – giving it just enough lift.

The walkway was ‘jr mints pastels’, the buttons on the castle were a candy I found at the dollar tree, and the door of course was a graham cracker. The figures I also found at dollar tree, and they worked out great!

My daughter loved it and the party was a success!
