Coolest Princess Castle Cake

This homemade princess castle cake I made after reviewing the many cakes already up here and collecting ideas. It took three boxes of cake mix.

The door and the windows are sugar cookies that I baked and cut out… I used melted vanilla with pink food coloring and painted them pink. The towers are ice cream cones stuck bottom to bottom with a sugar cone at the very top. I rolled the sugar cone in melted vanilla and then sprinkled pink sugar on them.

The rest of the cake decorations are just candies of your choice. This homemade princess castle cake took me a total of like 5 to 6 hours. It is very time consuming and was my first cake like this but I think it turned out great.

I definitely would recommend finalizing the cake where the party is at b/c I had to move mine from destination one where I originally made it to the location of the party and once put together the towers are not very sturdy. I hope my ideas help you like all the others did for me.
