I made this Homemade Princess Castle Cake Design last year for my daughter’s third birthday. It is entirely edible apart from the doll horse and towers.
It was made from ready made Swiss rolls, covered in marzipan and fondant icing. A Christmas cake bottom, covered in marzipan and fondant, a medium sized sponge sandwich pink cake, topped by a small sponge. all covered in marzipan and fondant.
The tower tops were made from silver doilies and I used a white lustre blown all over the cake at the end. Sugar cube steps, the stand under Cinderella was cake, edible glitter.
I had never done anything like this before, but was really pleased with myself. I’d love to know what everyone thinks of it. I tried my best lol.
