For my son’s 10th birthday, he wanted to have his party at the local Putt-Putt Fun Center, and a cake to match. We searched this site and others, then made a few changes and came up with this Putt Putt Golf Cake.
I started with a 1/2 sheet cake. Iced the entire cake green. I made each hole out of fondant. The #10 hole is the “loop-de-loop” per my son – this is the one hole he wanted. The loop is made from orange colored fondant. The mountain is made from rice krispy treats molded to the design I wanted (sort of), iced and then covered in fondant. Same for the bridge. The waterfall is blue icing piped with a star tip. I added fondant rocks coming down the mountain and a few in the water. The holes themselves are white icing piped with a #3 tip. I added icing grass around the bottom of the cake and on the corners, with a few patches on top.
Great cake! Did your fondant loop the loop hold up? My son is all about the loop lol. Worries my fondant will be too soft
