When my son first requested a snake cake for his 5th birthday I went into a bit of a panic because I thought how in the world would I be able to make a cake to look like a snake – especially as I don’t really do a lot of baking and I have never done any decorating. I came across this site afer doing a Google search for snake cakes and expecting to find nothing I was pleasantly surprised at how many little boys actually ask for this type of cake.
After visiting your site I came up with this Rattle Snake Cake creation. It is a chocolate cake with green butter icing and then decorated with licorice strings, smarties, chocolate buttons and cola gummy bottles the surrounding area is decorated with sour worms for effect. This is my first stab at cake decorating and I am very pleased with it. Thank you for sharing all of your ideas.
