Here’s another fun cake I got to make. It was for an under the sea themed baby shower! All three cakes were iced in blue butter cream with blue piped on waves. All the details on the cakes are made from fondant including the cute little octopus on top. I just added a little plastic pacifier to his mouth and a bottle in his arm.
All the plants and coral were hand cut and shaped. I used a mold for the starfish and shells and the crab, dolphin and other fish were made from a mold also but just those bath toy fishing games you can find at the Dollar Stores, lol.
I had to be creative and it looked like a great it and guess what, it worked awesome and now I have very inexpensive molds a set for a buck. Lastly I added a cute fish tank like sign to the cake with an adorable theme related message!
The momma to be absolutely loved this cake of course she cried! I’m sure her pregnancy hormones helped with that but she also loved this cake so I hope you do to and thanks for letting me share with you!
