My friend wanted a Sesame Street train cake for her son’s 1st birthday party. I made an 11×15 sheet cake for the bottom and frosted with green. For the train I used small pieces of cake for the cars and the engine I used a loaf pan twice and cut out the parts I didn’t need.
For the figures I made them from fondant, which was just like using modeling clay, and then let them sit to dry out for a few days. Once the cake was ready I set the figures on the cars, and put some finishing touches on it and it was done. The cookies that cookie monster are eating are the cookie crisp cereal. They were the perfect size and they made his car really stand out.
My friends little boy loved this Sesame Street Birthday Cake Design and it also tasted great too.
