My son loves skateboarding. So for his 14th birthday I decided it would be cool if I made him a homemade skateboard cake with his favorite band symbol on the top of it. He loves to listen to Metal Milita. So I took 2 white cake mixes made a rectangle cake and a round cake. I cut the round cake in half and placed them at the both ends of the rectangle cake.
I froze the cakes over night so they would be easy to carve in the shape of the skateboard. I took the extra cake and placed it under the ends to give it the lift on the ends like a real skateboard. Free hand the skull in the center and decorated with homemade buttercream frosting.
