My 10 year old son wanted me to make these for his class Christmas party. So I did. I had leftover cake and frosting so I mixed them together to roll out the cake balls. I put a small ball on top of a big ball on the stick, then refrigerated them.
I let them sit all night only because it was late when I formed them and I didn’t want to be up all night. But just until they’re firm is good enough.
I had some white candy melts from Wilton in a pan. I tilted the pan and rolled the cake balls through it to make snowmen. I had a Styrofoam ring (found in the flower section) that I put the sticks in until the candy coating was dry.
When it dried, I had mini fruit roll ups cut into 8 strips, that I wrapped around the neck for a scarf. Then I took black icing and made eyes and buttons. When the frosting dried, I took my finger and pushed them spots down to make them not pointy.
The kids loved these Snowman Cake Pops!
And of course I did this before Christmas. For Christmas, I got a cake pop pan so it’ll be a lot easier next time!
