I used the Wilton soccer ball cake mold for this. The grass is made out of coconut dyed with green food coloring. The banner and the jersey I made out of fondant and let dry and harden and then laid on the grass afterwards.
For the icing I used a plain white and then dyed another batch black and piped it on afterwards. I made this for one of my daughter’s friends, everyone loved it.
Did you have to do anything special for the cake to stay together ok. Or did you just use plain cake mix and put two halves together to make it whole. I was just worried about the weight of it
