This Spaghetti & Meatballs Cake is a cake I baked for my brother’s birthday. I got the idea from something I saw in a Food Network magazine article. The meatballs are made from a chocolate cake that I crumbled up, then squeezed into balls and then rolled in loose crumbs to give them texture. The noodles are white frosting with a touch of yellow food coloring and a dash of cocoa powder, and then piped onto the top of the cake. The sauce is pureed strawberries, just frozen strawberries put into a food processor for a few pulses. And the cheese is a grated white chocolate candy bar.
This was very easy and fun to make. You can use any type of cake and icing for the base. I used cherry cake and white icing.

Your spaghetti & meatballs birthday cake looks fantastic and sounds easy for ordinary cooks like me! My grandson loves spaghetti & meatballs and is 7 on the weekend. I wanted to make him something different when he comes to our place.
