This Spiderman birthday cake was a simple cake to make. I used 2 boxed cake mixes. From each box I made one 10 inch and one 8 inch layer so I ended up with two 10’s and 2 8’s. I used M&M’s for edges and piped the web on the top. I had a Spiderman toy for the top.
I found the cartoon words on a photo site on the internet – just Google “bubbles of super hero fights”. I printed and laminated them. You could also apply clear packing tape to each side. I cut them out and taped the backs to floral wire. You can get packs of the wire at craft shops, it comes in about 15 inch lengths.
I cut the cake board from a cardboard box. I always use gift wrapping paper in an appropriate print and then cover it with cellophane, taping them both to the back of the cardboard.
I love it. Simple, yet creative
