The little boy who asked me to do a birthday cake loved Spiderman. I knew I had to make this the coolest Spiderman birthday cake I have ever seen! I started with a half sheet cake, chocolate of course and butter cream frosting. I found a cool picture of Spiderman on the internet and traced it. I then used a marker to transfer it on paper so the marker would come through on the other side so it would be backwards.
I laid wax paper on top of the picture and with black frosting (chocolate frosting tinted with some black food coloring) and using a small writing frosting tip followed the pattern and then used red and blue frosting to fill in Spiderman. I then placed it in the freezer for about 1 hour.
Carefully removing it from freezer I laid the wax paper on top of the cake frosting down pressing slightly on paper so the frosting sticks to top of cake. Placing it all back in the freezer for 30 min. After 30 minutes remove from freezer and slowly peel off the wax paper and voila it is now transferred on cake.
