This Spiderman cake is easier than it looks.
I made this cake from two 8″ cakes stacked on top of each other and filled with jam buttercream. The board and cake are cover in white sugarpaste.
I made a 5″ circle with greaseproof paper then folded it in half three times. I opened out the circle then placed the greaseproof paper on top of the cake and pricked the pattern on to the cake for the web effect. Then I piped the web with black icing making curves inside each line. I added the spider in the corner with black icing.
Spiderman himself was made with a template from a picture of Spiderman that I found on the internet which I printed off then cut into colour sections. I placed each part on coloured sugarpaste and cut around it then put together on top of the web when dry using a little water to stick the parts together. Then I piped the web effect on to the Spiderman shape and the writing on the board with black icing.
I think this cakes looks really professional. You’ve done a great job!!
