This Spongebob Birthday Cake was for my son’s 9th birthday. He wanted Spongebob. I spent months trying to figure this out. When it was all said and done I decided making the pineapple house would be awesome.
I used the wonder cake doll mold for the pineapple shape. I tinted the icing a burnt orange color. I used the star tip to give the lines and dots a rough look of a pineapple. I used the leaf tip for the green top. I used smarties to make the pebbled walkway.
The Spongebob character was from the bakery at a local store that I bought for 5 bucks. I made two cupcakes to put the birthday sign in. This was probably the easiest cake I have made. I am very proud, but most of all my son LOVED it!
