This Homemade Spongebob Luau Birthday Cake was a 3 layer 9″ X 13″ Spongebob Luau cake for my daughter’s 3rd birthday. For the eyes, I used snowball cakes and covered them with white frosting. I dyed white frosting yellow to match Spongebob, I used black pipping to outline the eyes, nose, and mouth. I also used a can of green frosting with a ripple tip to make the grass hula skirt.
I filled the mouth with chocolate frosting and used two miniature marshmallows for the teeth. I cut a fruit roll up in shape of the tongue, freckles, and eye color. I finished it off by throwing a lei on Spongebob. My daughter loved it! Super cute and fun! It was a Luau Party so the cake was surrounded with cupcakes that had little umbrellas on them!
