Fisrt of all, this Spongebob Squarepants Birthday Cake is a homemade butter/vanilla/almond sponge cake, Puertorrican style. After done and cold we pour a light sugar and flavored syrup to keep it very moist and tasty.
I made two cakes and I put one on top of the other with a delicious strawberry filling, specially for cakes. Then I prepared the homemade butter cream in white, yellow, red, brown. Using the pastry bags I defined everything in black except the yellow area. Then I frosted with the star tip, all the areas. At the end I frosted all the cake that was in the bottom with white. Pay attention, the only part where I used fondant was for the blue eyes because I wanted them to be very well defined.
