This cake was made for someone who loved flowers and spring. The flowers are made from gumpaste using a cookie cutter. The bees are also gumpaste. I shaped the bees and before the gumpaste dried, I put a wire through it. After they dried, I painted them to look like a bee. It was a fun cake to make. I held the flowers on using homemade royal icing.
