This Stratocastor Guitar Cake is to scale and all edible with the exception of the board. The cake is covered in rolled fondant and embellished with hand made “Hardware” which is painted with edible silver leaf.

I made this cake to stand up. We engineered it really well. We even surprised ourselves. I had lots of trouble posting the photo here. I’ll try and post another showing the cake standing next to a real Strat.
It think its great that you made it all edible. I am trying to make one myself this weekend. What did you use to make the strings? And how did you get it to stand up?
Your cake is awsome. My brother has played and collected guitars since I can remember. I promised to make a “guitar” cake for his B-day… can you give me some info/ directions on what you used (strings, frets, whami bar etc.)to make everything look so realistic. It would be greatly appreciated.
