Coolest Strawberry Shortcake Cake

My niece loves Strawberry Shortcake so much that I have made her the new and old version of Strawberry Shortcake from the character cake pans. So this time I made it a bit different. I rented a slab cake pan and after the cake cooled I spread on the store bought icing with a spatula, it was fast and easy.

I then drew a picture of Strawberry Shortcake’s face from one of my kids coloring books onto a piece of paper and then I stenciled it onto the cake by using a tooth pick. After the face was done, I added the coloured icing using an icing bag. After seeing all the icing on the cake I thought it would be a great idea to add some fresh fruit. I washed then cut the strawberries in half keeping the green leaves on.

My niece loved here homemade Strawberry Shortcake cake and my sister and all the parents loved the idea of fruit on a child’s cake. Enjoy!
