I made this Swim Team Cake Idea for my niece’s 15th birthday. It’s a chocolate cake with vanilla pudding and bananas filling, vanilla icing. I cut part of the top layer cake out to give the pool effect. I then smoothed out the icing and then tapped it with the spatula to give the water effect. Then sprayed it with a blue edible dye.
I sprayed the outside of the pool with a black edible spray dye lightly to look gray like cement around the pool. The lines were made of shoestring licorice and mini marshmallow. Where the swimmers jump from are wafers and the swimmers are not edible…they were some erasor dolls I found.
