I made this T Shirt Birthday Cake for my grandson’s 9th birthday. This was his favourite t-shirt (I added the “I’m 9). I used a double chocolate cake mix, and baked it in a square roasting pan. I made a template from paper to cut out the shirt shape.
From the ‘under the armpit’ bits that were cut out to form the sleeve, I cut into squares and added to the bottom. Once it was covered with butter cream icing, you couldn’t see the join.
For the lettering, I used the roll-out icing you get from the supermarket and plastic cut outs that kids use for play doh. I added his football team logo (cut from paper) down the bottom.
That is an awesome cake, GREAT IDEA..I will try it.
