I made the teddies out of fondant icing with added CMC powder inspired by a lady called Lorraine Mckay (she is so fab). The teddy bear cake is a 8inch sponge with butter icing and jam, nothing special really but very tasty.
I used more fondant icing with CMC to make the hearts, stars etc. My first time doing these and they added a great touch to the cake. I piped some royla icing around the edge of the bears to hide a mistake I had made (oopps) but no one noticed.
It was a surprise for a lady I know and she thought it was excellent the best birthday cake she has ever had.
