I had made this Tinkerbell Cake for my friend’s daughter’s 8th birthday. It was my first attempt at the two-tier cake and I was a bit worried how it will turn out, but after completing the cake I was really happy with the outcome. I baked two strawberry cakes in round 10″ and 7″ pans. After cutting the 10″ cake midway and filling it up, I frosted it with the whipped cream frosting. After that I placed the smaller round cake on top of that and frosted it with the whipped cream frosting.
Since I wanted to use the purple and green combination for the Tinkerbell cake, I used the Wilton purple color spray on top of the cake by just following the directions on the bottle. With the leaf tip I piped out the green leaves at the base of each cake and with the flower tip I made the pink flowers at the cake borders. Finally, I put the Tinkerbell candle at the top.
The birthday girl just loved it.
