Coolest Tinkerbell Cake

The Tinkerbell cake was made using a Wilton Barbie cake pan. The Barbie had long flowing hair. Tinkerbell’s hair is piled on top of her head, so the extra hair area was used to make Tinkerbell’s wings.

To start, I used a pale blue to frost the edges of the cake as well as the parts that outlined the head, wings, legs, and edge of the skirt. The wings were made with white stars and sprinkled with yellow sugar. Depending on the color of the background you use, you may need to adjust the wing color. (I practiced with a white background and light orange wings.)

The dress and shoes were green stars. The green was a little darker than I intended, but I needed it to show up against the pale blue background. The hair was made with yellow stars but then was smoothed out. The skin color was made with McCormick Neon colors green (3 drops) and pink (1 drop). I used a wedge tip and just smoothed on legs, face, and arms. I did not make hands, but used a flower from the Tinkerbell sugar decorations.

The eyes and mouth were made by cutting the edges off a jelly bean. In the extra space at the bottom of the dress, I used Tinkerbell sugar decorations but you could also write Happy Birthday.
