My daughter wanted a Tinkerbell party this year so I decided to create a little piece of Pixie Hollow on her cake! I created a few of the critters from the Tinkerbell movies out of fondant to accompany the Tinkerbell figurines I had purchased in Disney World. The teapot fairy house was made out of cake using the Wilton sports ball round pans. I covered the cake in white fondant and used gumpaste to make the spout and handle. All of the large leaves and vines were fondant and the ivy leaves were decorator icing. The tree stump was made out of two small round cakes covered in dark chocolate buttercream icing.
The rest of the Homemade Tinkerbell Fairy Cake was decorated with gumpaste flowers, fondant rocks, a rice crispy root bridge, and lots of buttercream icing. Overall it was not too hard to do, just time consuming for all of the grass icing!!
This cake looks great!
