Coolest Topsy Turvy Birthday Cake

I made this Topsy Turvy birthday cake for a friend’s daughter who was turning 9 and has never had a super cool cake before! WHAT!? OK, so we scouted some pics online for ideas and she picked a 2 tier cake with some polka dots. Simple enough right?! Well 1 week before I had to make the cake I was told she has told all of her friends it will be a Topsy Turvy cake! Now I’m thinking holy smokes! I have to make a Topsy Turvy cake in a week, no practice time and I so do not want to disappoint this little girl who, by the way, was going to have 8 more little girls at her sleep over party that she has been telling how cool her cake is going to be.

Well, needless to say, I pulled it off and pretty well I think. It took me just over 9 hours but it was sooooooo pretty. I dreaded taking it to her house, the thought of 9 super hungry little girls hacking into my new masterpiece made my stomach turn but I took it she loved it and I cant wait to do another one ! WHO WANTS CAKE?!
