I made this Toy Story cake for my son’s 5th birthday! For the bed I used two 8X10 pans and made two yellow cakes. Put these two cakes together with chocolate in between. Used blue frosting to cover the cake and found a container of yellow star sprinkles that I used to decorate it.
Then I used white frosting for the pillows. I made cocoa rice crispies for the bed railings (front and back) and attached them with tooth picks. I used regular rice crispies for the blocks to spell out my son’s name and for the rug.
My son already had the little Toy Story people. I try not to spend a fortune, so my cakes are pretty basic. Even so, I think they look pretty cool. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on fondant and all that stuff to have an awesome cake. My son loved it!
