Cool Homemade Train 1st Birthday Cake

I used a Nordic Ware train cupcake pan and a 9*13 (i think) sheet cake pan. 2 boxes of white moist cake mix (I suggest at least 3 to make it a little fuller) for the sheet cake. And 1 box chocolate cake mix for cupcake pan.

I made homemade icing (buttercream) and for the blue and green on the sheet cake I sprayed it with Wilton’s Color Mist spray (loved this stuff so cool! a lot easier and comes out great!). The piping on the bottom of the cake I striped with an icing bag for a different effect.

On the trains I used same icing in a bag and piped it on (also some was colored) on the wheels. I used some icing to put on m&m’s.

This Train 1st Birthday Cake was my first cake and everyone loved it so did my son!
