This train cake is the first cake I have ever made and it was so much fun. It isn’t beautiful but everyone loved it.
I used Supreme Moist chocolate and Supreme Moist golden butter cake mixes but I can’t remember the brand. I used 3 loaf pans and one empty sweet pea can. I made 2 golden butter loaves and one chocolate loaf and then the filled the sweet pea can with chocolate also. Make sure to put a dish under the can because it looks like a volcano when it heats up.
Then I let everything cool down for at least an hour. Then I assembled everything using regular vanilla icing for glue. I used Oreos for the wheels and a marshmallow for the smoke stack. Then I made a circus animal car with pretzels and icing glue and animals.
For the tracks I used black licorice and fudge covered wafers. It took hours from start to finish but it was so nice to have every member of the family, including Dad, take part in making it.
