I made this Homemade Treasure Chest Cookie Cake for my son’s third birthday. He has a severe egg allergy and therefore cannot eat your everyday birthday cake. He can however eat cookies. The treasure chest is made of chocolate sugar cookies. Then fused together with royal icing. Fondant and butter cream icing were used to decorate the treasure chest.
Inside is a cake made in a loaf pan to give the shape I desired. Then covered in chocolate butter cream icing. Hope you find some inspiration from this cake as I did many others!
