This Homemade Triplets Cake Idea was super easy! Two 10-inch cakes (one vanilla, one chocolate with raspberry filling) and buttercream frosting. To make the “peas in a pod” I colored fondant and rolled the heads into a ball. I used edible markers to make the eyes and mouth.
For the pea pod, I rolled out green fondant and cut out two leaf shapes. I pressed one end together and stuffed the opening with saran wrap and let harden for a few hours. When the shape held on its own I added the heads and placed on the cake. To make the vines I used tip #3 and went at it!
The mother-to-be was thrilled.
