I made this Turtle Cake with the Wilton ball cake pan. I then lightly colored my marshmallow fondant with Wilton green food coloring. After covering the cake I make the head and legs with fondant. I then used the back end of a small paint brush to create the shell texture/tiles.
After creating the look of the shell, I just used food coloring and a little water to wash over each shell and straight food coloring with a paint brush to line each tile. I then placed the turtle on a store bought cake so there would be enough cake for my entire family. The cake was a hit!
