Coolest UGA Mascot Dog Cake

I am not a pro and only make cakes for friends, family and friends of family. My first attempt at making an animal was a daunting one. This die-hard University of Georgia fan wanted a cake resembling Uga, the college mascot. He is not only a huge fan of this college and their football team but also of their bulldog mascot, Uga. In fact, he has his own bulldog named Dozer.

I made several cakes and began carving and fitting them together to make the shape of the dog lying down. I then used butter cream icing for the fur and a sugar sheet for the red jacket and emblem. It is one of my better cakes I’ve ever made and he just loved it. I’m always up for a new challenge and have never made the same cake twice. I learn from every cake I make and try to apply that knowledge to the next one I will do.
