My son was having a spooky, scary, party theme, so he asked for a cake with something to do with a vampire. I found a cake in Debbie Brown’s “Enchanting Magical Cakes” book. It however was a castle based on witches and wizards flying around a castle, so instead I decided to adapt it to be a vampire castle cake with flying bats.
I baked the cake in 2 small round tins for the base, stacking them on top of each other, then an even smaller tin for the top. I then iced them with a thin layer of chocolate icing. I coloured some fondant grey and cut out various shapes
using square cutters and started placing them all over the cake to build up the castle. The door, roof, bats and vampire are all made out of fondant.
My sons words were “COOL”.
Your son is right… your vampire cake is very cool. Hope the kids liked it!
Yes, your cake idea is oneof the best that I have seen. Good job!!
Vampires are always yummy! Especially if there’s cake!!! Awesome!
