I made this homemade Wall-E birthday cake for my nephew’s 2nd this month. The parts that are cake are the box and the legs. His neck, eyes, and arms, I made out of cardboard and paint. For Wall-E’s eyes I printed off pictures of the stars and put that behind clear plastic to give him the dreamy Wall-e look.
When I iced the cake I made sure it was frozen and hard so it kept its shape while I blended and shaded him. I used long, thin cookies to make the tracks for Wall-E’s legs. My nephew cried when he saw Wall-E without a face so I had to turn the cake around and stick the eyes and arms back in to hide the eaten part.
