I made this wedding cake for my neighbor who is also a good friend. It was a four tier stacked cake with four satellite cakes. The cake was white with white buttercream icing. The cakes were all filled with buttercream icing too.
I used a beautiful lace mold that I purchased online. With this mold I was able to get the detail along the sides of the cakes. It was so easy to use and it made the cake look so elegant. The flowers I used were stargazer gumpaste lillies. I also hand painted them with pink and fushia luster/pedal dust. The whole cake was then sprayed with lustre spray for a pearl finish.
This was my first wedding cake of that size. It was a lot of work and took a lot of time but I was very happy with the results and the bride loved it!
what a lovely cake, so elegant your neighbor must have been chuffed to bits. The lily’s are stunning
Amazing work to be you first big one. Your cake is beautiful. Where did you buy your lace mold?.
