I wanted to make a Winnie Pooh birthday cake for my daughter’s 2 year birthday. I looked up and found some GREAT ideas from this website. This Winnie Pooh Birthday Cake is what I came up with. It took me an entire day to make them.
The first cake (in the middle of the picture) was a two layer cake with fondant on the bottom and weaving on the top layer. I used tip 233 to pull out grass and used buttercream icing, and put Winnie Pooh cake topper toys (I purchased them as a set), and used blue chocolate chips to make a river under the bridge. The second cake (on the left) was a Winnie Pooh cake (Wilton pan). I got it purchased and sent to Italy from Canada (I got a friend to buy it) because it was impossible to find it here).
I wanted to make a Winnie Pooh stand-up cake but the pan is no longer on sale so I bought the little bear pan from Wilton and decorated it as Winnie pooh using buttercream icing and Winnie Pooh colors. I used tips 16 and 18 for the stars. I used the cake as topper for my cupcake stand (on the right).
The cupcakes are ordinary cupcakes made with chocolate mix and a chocolate chip batter. I decorated them with Winnie pooh graham cookies (also purchased and sent from a friend in Canada. I was unable to find them here too).
The party turned out to be an incredible hit! Everyone thought I got the cakes made from a bakery! Quite original for an Italian birthday.

These cakes are wonderful. I really like how you did 3 different cakes but they all go together so well. I was thinking of doing something like that for my daughter’s birthday. Thanks for the ideas.
