Coolest Wizard of Oz Birthday Cake

To compliment out Wizard Of Oz Party theme for my girl / boy twins who were turning 7, we made a Yellow Brick Road Ice Cream Cake. The idea was “less is more” to keep it relatively simple but effective using a few props.

We used plain vanilla ice cream with a whipped creme frosting shaped in the number 7 with heart shaped chocolates around the edge for the tin man’s heart.

We printed colour pictures of the main characters and cut and pasted them onto paddle pop sticks and placed them on the “road”.

It was a lot of fun to make this Homemade Wizard of Oz Birthday Cake and the kids loved it.
