I created two layers, one 10″ and one 12″ (different flavors)for this Wonder Pets Birthday Cake. The cake was covered with blue buttercream frosting. I piped yellow at the bottom. The Wonder Pets and Nick Jr logo were created out of Gum Paste. I used cut outs for the stars and the lettering.
Various objects around my house were used to create the “W”, like a cup, a biscuit cutter and a ruler. I then used a zig zag template to cut out the center border. I had given my son a Wonder Pets toy the night before. I offset the top layer to make room and then set them on top with a promise to give them back right after the party.
He loved the cake and felt like he had contributed.
Way to go, Kathy! This is definitely a Wonderful cake. Creativity at its BEST!
I live in Aubrey and would pay you to recreate this cake for my daughter’s birthday! Would you be interested?
VERY VERY CUTE. SIMPLE YET PERFECT. NICE JOB!
I live in Rowlett and I am having a hard time finding someone who does Wonder Pet’s cakes. Would you make one? If so how much would you charge?
where did you purchase your figurines? have been surfing the web all day and haven’t been able to find just the plain figures.
They are tough to find. Ebay is your best bet – or try Amazon.com and you might have to pay $8-10 for each one that comes with a little toy.
